The first step is to understand the problem, the purpose of the product and the target audience. In this stage we engage with all the project stakeholders to analyse the requirements, competitive landscape, the user, the functionality and then create a clear definition of the project scope.
In the next step we set out to define the users of the product based on their environment, demographics, behaviour, limitations and expectations. We create detailed user personas, user stories and use cases. Then using detailed user flows, we map product features with user functionality and begin the work on building the product experience .
In this stage we convert the user flows created from the previous stage to paper sketches, wireframes and eventually clickable prototypes. This serves as the foundation to the UI design stage.
Once the wireframes are perfected we move to the next stage of creating the detailed interface design. We transform the finalised wireframes to great looking UI that enhances the experience of the product. We design each screen basis the flow and the resolution. Next we set out to create the design system that serves as a guide for the visual theme, specs, colors, typography, iconography, UI elements etc. This ensures standardisation of the design language as the product evolves.
We test and retest the product in terms of user flow & experience, identify areas of enhancement and if required make incremental changes. Everything that we create is tested against the success metrics defined during the beginning of the creative process.
Once the deliverables are complete, we create a detailed UX report explaining the user persona, product features, flows, use-cases and design choices. This guide ensures that the design thinking is translated into a format that can be easily understood by the development teams and early investors.
